Call of Duty: Mobile's release date was October 1, and not two months later, the game has already hit its first big block of content. The Season 2 update is now live and comes with a lot of cool features, such as Free and Premium Battle Passes, Alaskan-themed Grenades, Unlockable Gun Skins and more. Moreover. The new winter-themed map is also here, along with winter, ranked and casual players can now enjoy the new content in the game.
The new winter-themed map is called 'Summit' and it's open for casual and ranked multiplayer. Zombie mode is now live and is available for players level 5 or above and offering some pretty cool rewards. There are now three sub-game modes available: Raid Hardcore, Raid Zombies and Survival. Most old-school COD players will recognize the new map as the fan-favorite of Shi No Numa from Call of Duty: The World at War, slightly reworked and modified to accommodate the new mobile trend.
With the inclusion of The zombies, one would expect a survival mode and naturally it is available as a never-ending conquest. As part of a raid, we kill The zombies in 8 waves, then we walk through their ranks with new weapons, The buffs and The rebirth boosters.
Activision has now officially included support for The controllers, allowing the use of The Xbox One and Sony DualShock4 controllers. However, the downside is that we will only pair with other players who are also using The Controllers, which could drastically reduce the player pool.
We can now link our guest account to our Game Center or Google Play account as part of the new login accessibility. This will allow backups, synchronization and account protection and it will be much easier to transfer and store data. However, the accounts information, such as profile photos or other information, probably won't be more useful. We can switch to the new login method from an old account without losing any data.
Call of Duty: Mobile Season 2 update greatly improves the content as well as the mechanics. Overall the game now feels smoother, with less lag and more fun thanks to the new content. The new challenges certainly bring in interesting rewards while the new map rekindles old hardcore gamers with nostalgia. New modes are also popping up, as promised by Activision and TiMi Studios, so they're coming to an end.
