The Steel Path is a challenging next mode in Digital Extremes Warframe's space ninja simulator. The Steel Road will feature Teshin, who many of you may be familiar with from the Conclave. Teshin will offer a test for the Tenno, called The Steel Path.
The Steel Path is essentially a hard mode, which makes every node on the Star Chart harder. This will be of interest to players who have dived into the game before and might find the current Star Chart challenges too easy. According to Digital Extremes, they have very specific design goals for the new mode.
What it is:
- Higher Difficulty A set of content that rewards exclusive cosmetic decorations, emotes, and mastery.
- An added layer of opportunities for players to use their powerful gear to take on threats at a higher level without having to wait in missions for extended periods of time.
- A way to engage with better scaling of affinity and mod rewards.
What it is not:
- intended to be associated with the nebulous subject of the "end game".
- too complicated in its goal of simply providing higher level content and exclusive rewards.
- on several levels. We are providing a level 100+ pass to be up to date with matchmaking for our first iteration.
There will be a 1000-player public test on The Steel Path on June 26, although access to the test has already been granted, so you won't have a way to access it at this time. You should be able to watch people stream it though.
That's all we know about Steel Path at this time, but this article will be kept updated as the developers release more information.
