If you want yours Tesla you drive alone on some roads and on the motorway (with you keeping your hands on the wheel and paying attention, of course) you have to buy the Full Self-Driving autonomous driving mode (FSD), spending quite a bit. But in 2021, there may be more options.
Tesla's autonomous driving subscription is coming
It will therefore be possible to avoid paying $ 10.000 to add FSD mode to Tesla's autonomous driving system, called Autopilot. Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, on Sunday replied to a user on twitter who asked if it will be possible to pay the subscription to Tesla's FSD driving mode annually. As Padge comments it makes no sense, in fact, to buy the mode if the car is leased or rented. Musk's response was that there will be a chance to sign up for an FSD subscription from next year.
Absolutely. We will release FSD subscription early next year.

That means anyone with a Tesla could pay for a driving mode subscription month to month. Full Self-Driving mode is currently in beta version with a select group of Tesla users. It will open to more people over the span of 2021. Although Musk previously mentioned a launch by the end of 2020.
Obviously, it will be necessary to understand whether it is worthwhile to subscribe to Tesla's autonomous driving instead of paying a one-time fee. Just because it's available as a subscription doesn't mean it's going to be a good deal. According to some sources, the subscription could cost around $ 100 per month. But for Tesla drivers for hire or who only use FSD mode at certain times, the more flexible plan may be worth it.
