How to earn the Track Star Trophy

You can access the tutorial area through the door to the left of the large cave entrance - this is the small door to the left of the ladder, below the area under construction where future shortcut paths can be unlocked. Make sure you take the speedrun challenge! Simply walking through this area will not normally work.
How to unlock the Speedrun challenge: Unlock an additional character as you progress through the game, then return to the area. Read the sign and talk to the NPC here twice to get started.
To earn the “Track Star” trophy, you must complete the tutorial area in 30 seconds or less. Instead of perfecting your stroke, you can create a shortcut that makes it a snap.
- Speedrun tutorial:
- Hang on to the first ledge and drop down to avoid taking damage.
- Jump the hole in the bomb bag and throw a bomb in the corner.
- Blow and go for the rope. Take the ropes from the crate and throw a bomb up and towards the wall of the water pool - the explosion will make a hole near the water.
- Right after throwing the bomb, use the rope to reach the hole and cross.
- Use your extra rope on the water - throw it so it lands right next to the fake spider chain.
- Climb the ladder and then climb the rope. Use your last rope to climb the last stretch.
And that's all! This is the easiest method. Using the bomb to blow up a hole near the water pool, allowing you to jump up and down, saves you seconds. The trick is to just quickly go through the rest of the trail.
There is a other way to speedrun. If you want to cheat, you can use the bombs to blow up a hole in the roof, then use the ropes to reach the exit.
Specifically, you have to blow up the roof with a bomb, then use another to the left and another bomb to reach the ropes. You need the three ropes to exit. One to climb through the hole you generated (leading to the area with the stone), one to climb the high cliff, and one to finally get back to the entrance area.
The trickiest part is timing your bomb to make a hole in the roof. From the bomb pickup, throw the bomb to the right just before it explodes - if you get caught in the blast you will die. Pick up the bomb, run to the left wall, drop one, then throw it after three seconds. If you have the right timing, you'll cut a hole in the ceiling.
You have to be specific. You need a bomb to blow up the ceiling, 2 bombs to reach the ropes, and three ropes to reach the exit. All three ropes should be used for the escape route, so don't miss your throws!
If you learn the tricky part of this path (throwing the bomb and detonating the ceiling) the rest is a walk. You will be able to reach the exit with free time.
