Unlocking the cheat console is similar to how it's always been done - you'll need to enter a special launch parameter into your Steam library, then open the console and unlock the cheats with another command. Once you've learned how it all works, it's actually really straightforward and gives you access to cheats that grant divine invincibility, unlimited ammo, full upgrades, and more. How to activate the console
To activate the console, you will need to follow these steps before launching your game. Once the console is activated, you will be able to open it and enter cheat commands in the game itself.
- Right click on "Half-Life: Alyx" in your Steam library and select "Properties«.
- Select 'Set launch options"Under the General tab.
- Enter the following and press'Okay«:
You can now start cheating! Launch your game and press (~) on your keyboard to open the console.
The console will open on your computer screen - not in your VR headset. Take off your headphones and enter the controls on the keyboard.
When entering orders, be sure to type in the "Order" field - ignore the "Filter" and "Search" fields. hurry (Enter) to enter a code.
