Recover hacked Instagram account

The famous social network will in fact send you an email informing you that the email address linked to the profile has been changed. In the same e-mail message, you can cancel this change by pressing the button Undo this change. In the event that, in addition to the email address, other parameters have been changed (for example the password) and you are unable to change the email address, then you will have to report the stolen account.

Login link

• on the login screen, tap on Get help with logging in (Android) o Forgot password? (iOS);

Report the account

• after that, tap on Do you need further assistance? and follow the on-screen instructions.

iOS:

• on the login screen, press on Forgot password?;

Verify your identity

After following the steps listed above, you will receive an automatic response email from the Instagram team asking you to verify your identity by entering one or both of the following information:

• a photo of you holding a handwritten code provided by the Instagram team;
• the email address with which you registered and the type of device used at the time of registration.

Upon receiving the various information, you will be provided with further instructions to recover your account in a secure email address indicated by you.

If you can still log into your Instagram account

In the event that your account has been hacked and you are still able to access it, you can do the following to make it safe:

• change the password of your Instagram account;
• revoke access to third-party apps;
• enable two-factor authentication.
