Level up all skills that only need a point to maximize!
Exactly what this title says, be sure to upgrade every skill that only needs one point to reach its max level. That's all. All of these skills are essential to Luster's playstyle, and there's nothing wrong with spending a single point on them. Do it right away and you will have your skill tree 80% ready for high end gaming.
That said, what about skills that can reach level 10? Well, let's see what you need to do about it.
In the image above we have the following skills which can reach level 10:
- Tech Arts PA Multiple Bonus
- Eradication restoration
- Volt reset healing
- High Combo Var. Sauvegarde PP
- Amplified assistance
- Dissociation disorder
- Shifta gauge boost
- Attack Bonus: Shard
- Luster weapon bonus 1
- Shard weapon bonus 2
- Full rest
Of these 11 skills, only 5 are mandatory to be maximized, to get the most out of Luster:
- Tech Arts P.A. Bonus multiple x10
- Top Combo Var. PP Save x10
- Attack bonus: chandelier x10
- 1x10 Luster Weapon Bonus
- 2x10 Luster Weapon Bonus
The rest can be changed depending on what the player wants the most. By reaching max level with your character, you won't be able to maximize them all, so here are my suggestions as to what your second priority should be:
- Volt Reset Healing x10
- Eradication Restoration x10
- Amplified support x10
The last 3 skills can be changed accordingly, depending on your preferences, as they don't make any significant changes to your gameplay or stats. I would personally focus on Shifta Gauge support, because of the utility it provides, not actual performance improvement. Full rest can also come in handy, especially when erasing content solo, but it's still a niche thing to have. Deband Disorder is the least useful of the three, so I should leave it at 3 points, which is the requirement to unlock Shifta Gauge Boost.
- Dissociation disorder
- Shifta gauge boost
- Full rest
Don't bother with the last row of your skill tree!
See the very last row of the skill tree, in the image above? If you do, do yourself a favor and don't be tempted to put skill points in it. Yes, a fixed amount of HP or Attack can be good, but rest assured that maximizing the skills we mentioned in the previous section will be much more beneficial in the long run. If you end up having reserve points I would go for PP Up, just to have that extra amount to use my Arts and HP to survive those random hits.
** From the penultimate row, you maximize these skills. The specific image comes from a character who has not yet reached his maximum, therefore who has no points, because the skills have yet to be unlocked. Don't be confused, this whole line indeed needs to be leveled.

As mentioned before, the Chandelier Tree is pretty straightforward when you take a closer look at it, so don't be scared off by the amount of skills there. Just upgrade all of the “1 point max” skills, follow the directions for the middle part of the tree, and you should be good to go.
To end this guide with a little tip: if you are struggling to get Gunblades for each item, you can save up to 4 points by not upgrading the corresponding elemental skills, because you don't even have to do so yet. 'weapon for these. Use those points to maximize something else first, and when you have decent gear for each item, then maximize them as well. You won't go wanting, as each item can act independently, allowing you to remove as much content as you want. It is, however, advisable to use all of Luster's abilities when possible, as this maximizes its damage.
