No Man's Sky patch 3.20 patch notes
ANIMAL COMPANIONS
- Creatures that have been fed can now interact to access options for milking, riding, and adoption.
- Players can adopt up to six creatures at a time. New companion slots can be purchased with Nanites.
- Your companions can be renamed and then personalized with a new range of accessories and decals.
- Some accessories, such as the torch or mining lasers, will be used by your companion to explore the planet.
- Each companion has their own personality, which will influence their behavior and way of thinking. Some species are more likely to have certain traits than others, but each creature is unique.
- The Creature Harness is neurally linked to the Exosuit, allowing rudimentary translation of your new companion's thoughts and wishes.
- Companions will help their owners with planetary exploration, but have their own needs. They will periodically need food or attention to thrive.
- Companions will need to be cared for for a long time in order to gain their trust.
- While exploring, companions will assist their owners in a number of ways, including: finding resources and buildings; dig up minerals and special items; hunt other creatures; and hazard markings.
- In addition to acting on their own initiative, companions can receive specific instructions via quick menu gestures.
- VR players can point directly to send their companion to a destination.
COMPANION EGGS
- Creatures that have been well cared for will lay eggs.
- After a short time, the creature eggs hatch into a brand new creature, related but distinct from the parent creature.
- Baby creatures have different proportions from adult creatures and will grow to maturity over time.
- Players can trade the eggs of their precious companions with other players.
- Creature eggs can be taken to the Egg Sequencer aboard the Space Anomaly.
- The Egg Sequencer allows players to remix genetic material from their growing eggs to produce unique, never-before-seen creatures.
- An overdose of eggs in the sequencer can lead to dramatic reconfigurations of the creatures ...
