brings players back to a crawling Japan with mystical creatures called Yokai, and it's a huge improvement over the original in every way that matters most. It's a game-style, action RPG focused on fighting deadly bosses and exploring challenging and detailed environments. If you are not a master at the sword game, you will need the best equipment you can get.
And some of the more hidden gear can only be picked up from the map itself. As you progress through the game, you will find plenty of loot. Most of it is rubbish not worth hanging up. Some of it is super precious, and the more you get the better. If you're looking to grab a little extra loot from each chapter, all you need to do is search the map. If you have any knowledge of ancient Japan, it certainly helps. But it is not obligatory.

Between missions, you will be redirected to the Map screen. Each chapter has a different region on the map, and at first glance it doesn't seem like it has any secrets. There are missions and sub-missions that you can select, or you can go to your home to change your current look, do training, or read tutorials.
To find bonus items on the map screen, simply move your cursor until you find a historic site. Your the cursor will turn red, indicating that you can interact with the spot - you will receive a short message with information about the area you have selected, and earn an article for your problems. There are different historical places to check out all over Japan, and you really don't need to know where they are - just slowly browse the map with the cursor and you will find them all.
The real trick with this is just realizing that it's even an in-game feature. I stumbled upon it by accident. I can see that most players don't even realize that there are free items to be won in each chapter. All it takes is a little patience, and it's all up to you.
