Monster Hunter: The World's latest expansion is Iceborne, a new winter wasteland filled with deadly monsters. Although the monsters are dangerous, the hunters are even more formidable. However, many hunters have to be at their best when they beat the greatest of hunts. One way to customize their appearance is to use layered armor. Here's how players will equip and unequip it in the game.

What is that?
Layered armor will be a purely aesthetic looking tab for players who want to look different from their favorite armor. Even though their ideal armor will offer them the most protection, they may not find the full appearance of their armor. To change that, Capcom is now offering gamers the ability to watch however they want when they hunt.
How to equip layered armor
When you forge your layered armor, there are several options to choose from to equip it. The easiest method is to go back to your room and access the “Change appearance” option. From there, you'll want to go to “Layered Armor Settings,” where you'll see the available options that you can choose from on your hunter. You are going to need to do this in your item box.
Additionally, when you're at Astera or in a research base, you can go to your item box location to change your appearance options. It will look like your room options so you don't get lost in the menu.
With both options, you have the option of changing the color of the armor. However, everything about the armor isn't going to change. When you choose to change the armor, only specific sections will move. You can do this from the "Colors" tab of the menu. You're going to want to play around with the options to see which pieces change and to get a feel for what your hunter's chosen aesthetic represents.
