Instagram has created a new Lite version of its application. And although at the moment will only be available in India, the company intends to expand its availability to other regions over the months.
What makes this version of Instagram special isn't just hers low weight of only 2 MB - compared to the 500+ MB that the full version can use - but the fact that it does a less than many of the functions that are a good part of the app users consider it completely useless.
And is that the new Instagram Lite offers the simplest possible experience with the social network. Without Reels, without IGTV tab and without the new purchase panel, maintaining the prominence of the application.

Instagram, without all the bad things about Instagram
As reported in XDA-Developers, the new version focuses on offering the fastest experience possible eliminating additional features that are present in the full edition.
In this way, in the Lite version of Instagram there are neither the Reels, nor the Purchases tab nor the IGTV videos.
For the rest, either the operation that the interface are traceable to those of the full version of the application. Also, unlike the old Lite version - which disappeared from Google Play in mid-2020 - performance is good and it does not give the impression of using an application aimed at low-end mobile phones.
The app is on Google Play, but for now it cannot be downloaded in countries other than India. Thankfully, we won't have to wait long before the APKs on Instagram Lite start circulating on the network so that you can install the new version on any device.
