In this guide, we'll show you how to turn off motion controls in Death Stranding. I'm going to give a mild spoiler warning, just because Death Stranding often connects the rhythms of the story and the mechanics, so keep reading at your own risk.
How to turn off motion controls in Death Stranding
In Death Stranding, you use motion controls to calm BB down. BB is just a baby in a jar, so sometimes you'll need to calm them down if they're upset. If you don't want to use motion controls for this purpose, follow the steps below to turn them off:
- Open the options menu
- Access control settings
- Scroll down to Controls for Soothing BB
This will then give you the option of using motion controls or using R2 to calm the Bridge Baby. Remember, the world you will be traveling in is quite scary and treacherous, so keep an eye out for your little BB and make sure he is doing well during your deliveries.
You can change the above control scheme at any time, even from the in-game menu. If you want to play in the game with the motion controls enabled to see if you like the mechanic, then you can easily change it if you do not like him.
