So, do you want to be a war mage? Choose your poison, literally. In Spellbreak there are six different classes, and here we will see how to play the toxicologist.
While the toxicologist is not considered one of the hardest courses to learn, it is not considered one of the easiest either. When playing this class there are three key things to remember: Beware of your toxic puddles, reaching level 2 is key and stealth in the name of the game.
Stay out of your own way

It's great for taking down enemies, but if you get into your own puddle you'll take just as much damage. This means that if you're in close combat as a toxicologist, it's best to back off a bit, stay on slightly higher ground, or try to stay aloft as much as possible.
Also remember that you don't pack a punch the same way as another class. Use your toxicity to damage your opponents over time and reduce their ability to retaliate, while avoiding personal damage.
Plan escape mists

Once you level up, not only are you immune to your Toxic Clouds, but when you pass through them, you gain the invisibility benefit for 3 seconds. It may not seem like long, but it's just enough time to set up the perfect attack, or make the perfect getaway.
It gets even easier at level 4, as you throw three toxic clouds instead of one. Create a diversion and no one will know which cloud you disappeared into.
Stealth in all things
Screenshot via the proletariatInvisibility should start and end with your mists disappearing, especially when your level 3 ability causes your Toxic Spray to do 75% more damage when invisible. This means that as a toxicologist you should, unless you need mobility to get into the ring in time, prioritize obtaining the Rune of Invisibility.
You can use your Toxic Clouds to become invisible during cooldowns, then upgrade to the Rune of Invisibility, which means if you have an Epic or Legendary rune and can avoid getting hit, you could theoretically to be invisible just as much as you are visible. in a fight.
One of the best ways to use this is to follow someone who's ducked out of a fight to heal, and when they use a consumable and think they're alone, spam your poison spray and go kill.
Class talents
There are two talents unlocked by playing Toxicologist, and while they can be used for any class, they are optimized for that one.
Thirst | 2 talent points
Screenshot via the proletariatThat spiritual talent you unlock at Class 3 is called Thirsty. It will allow you to consume Health Potions and Armor Shards 50% faster (up to 100% faster if you keep collecting Spirit Scrolls).
This is great for stealth, as you can use consumables while you are invisible, and the faster you consume, the more health you can recover as invisibility expires. With this, healing in the middle of a battle becomes possible without leaps and bounds.
Harmony | 3 points de talent
Screenshot via the proletariatThis Mind talent unlocked at Class 6 is called Harmony. This will prevent 5% of all incoming damage, up to 15% at full power. You're also immune to Slow, Freeze, and Shock, which is extremely helpful, especially for conduits using their lightning to trigger a shock in your Toxic Cloud. Harmony will prevent you from holding back.
Best secondary gauntlets to use
- Lightning | Use basic attack to ignite your toxic clouds with electric shock
- Frost | Use basic attack to freeze your solid toxic clouds
All in all, if you take that in this course, it's about diffusing from the shadows. If you are more of the fighting type, this class might not be for you. But if stealth sounds like your bag and you're sure to prioritize a mobility advantage, then this course might be for you.
