The Ladybug is one of the biggest enemies you will face in Grounded. It might sound cute, but it packs a lot of oomph and can be a tough fight if you attack it in the wrong area.
Where to find the ladybug
You can find the ladybug patrolling a fairly large area south of the great oak tree. When you get to the spot shown on the map above, climb as high as you can and you should see the ladybug's red shell between the grasses.
How to kill the ladybug
The ladybug moves slowly, with a large health bar. It also hits really hard, and two hits from this beast will get you to your spawn point. When you fight him, use a spear and keep your distance. Start the fight by stabbing him repeatedly, then try to keep turning to his back and sides while fighting him.
The Ladybug will telegraph most of its attacks by rearing back a bit, so it's pretty easy to dodge them if you're careful. You should always try to fight the ladybug in the grass, as the blades of grass will trap her making it very difficult for the creature to move around and get you a lot of hits against it.
Finally, watch out for spiders. If you start fighting a creature that's too close to a spider, it will join you, and it's not a fight you can win. When you kill the Ladybug, be sure to grab the head, as you can analyze it for a Bug Ax recipe.
