The Stars Wars event is live in Fortnite, including new challenges. One challenge requires you to do damage with a lightsaber, while another requires you to block damage with a lightsaber. To do either, you need to get your hands on a luminous space sword.
Fortnite Lightsabers are Mythical Items, and they will only drop The Star Wars special items chests that are currently scattered throughout the game. When you find a Star Wars chest, it will drop four different Lightsabers, all with The Star Wars Chests. different colors and designs. You can find the red, green, blue and purple lightsabers. This is important because it means that four players can grab Lightsabers from the same chest and have Epic Battles.
To attack with the lightsaber just press the fire button and to block you have to press the aim down button. The lightsaber will prevent all incoming damage, as long as you are facing the right direction. Hitting the fire button three times will perform a combined strike, ending with a flourishing spin attack.
The lightsaber is very powerful and will take down a fully protected enemy in one combination. It will clear most walls in two strikes. When you have equipped it, keep in mind that the bright glow will make you very easy to spot and you cannot move quickly while protecting.
And that's all; Lightsabers seem to be pretty common in the game. I've found them in every match I've played since launching The Challenges, so you should have too much trouble finding one.
