The Gorgers of Fortnite are the vanguard of Galactus. They have started to appear in the game, bringing death and destruction wherever they go. These mechanical threats may surprise you if you encounter them during a game. You might also need to track them down for a weekly challenge or to complete a punch card.
How to find a Gorger
Gorgers will spawn in locations marked by a thin beam of red light descending from the sky. It can be difficult to spot, but keep an eye out for it as you browse the map. If you want, you can grab a Choppa and try to hunt it down that way. They are large black and red machines, so easy to spot.
They can appear anywhere on the map, so always be on the lookout for them.
How to destroy a Gorger
You can only damage a Gorger in a few places, all of which glow. Their primary eye, which they use to shoot powerful lasers at you, is a place you can hit them all the time, but they sometimes glow yellow over their shoulders, allowing you to do some damage.
They will also spawn smaller robots which do less damage but can just as easily kill you if you don't take them out. When destroyed, they fall to the ground and explode after a short time. If you take them before they explode, you can use them as a weapon. They have two fire modes, regular fire and charged fire. Charged shot will use all ammo but will cause considerable damage to the Gorger.
You'll have to be careful when fighting the Gorger, as it takes a bit of time to defeat, and you'll be at the mercy of any other player passing by if you don't see them first. Just aim for weak spots, use alien weapons when they fall and find shelter and heal if you need to.
