The goal of the Mountain View company is certainly that of offer a virtual assistant for any type of operation available on smartphones, tablets, PCs and even at home. In addition to the classic request screen, in which the answers from Google Assistant appear, there is in fact the presence of artificial intelligence within the Google Photos application, an image and video management service developed by the same company.
This will allow all users to create projects, share special collections with other people, view past memories, edit shots for the best light, and much more. Today we will therefore see how to activate and deactivate these parameters managed by the Google Photos assistant.
Change the Google Photos assistant tabs
The first time that acceded to the tab "Assistant" (bottom right in the Photo app), illustrative cards appear immediately, or a sort of tutorial on the use and actual potential of the screen in question. Among those available, one of the most interesting is that relating to shared collections, which will invite you (by clicking on “Start”) to select one or more contacts with whom to share a set of manually selected photographs.
In addition to suggestions of this type, however, by accessing the side menu (by clicking on the three horizontal lines at the top left), continuing with "Settings" and then with "Assistant Cards", you can view, activate or deactivate the four most interesting functions currently available.
- Creations: cards dedicated to movies, collages and albums created independently by the assistant using the photos in the account
- Rediscover this day: cards capable of showing photos taken or imported in previous years on that specific day
- Suggested rotations: fast rotation cards in case a photo is not recognized in the right direction
- Storage suggested: tip sheets for storing and deleting duplicate photos
By deactivating one or more parameters, the suggestions just analyzed will no longer be displayed on the dedicated screen, but they can still be reactivated at any time.
