Fortnite came out with significant improvements today. If you missed that over the weekend, Epic Games blew up Fortnite by putting the old map in a black hole. Players had to painfully wait for the game to come back online to participate, but the wait was worth it. There are a lot of new things to do in the game. However, since all of the latest changes have taken place, the default language settings have been changed in the game.
Players have to enter manually to change the language to ensure they are reading everything correctly on their screen. The game language is English by default, but there are plenty of other choices to choose from. To change the settings, you must be in the main menu.
When you are in the main menu, go to the upper right part of your screen and click on the three dashes at the top. You can click this button, or press the corresponding menu button for your platform or the "Esc" button if you are using a mouse and keyboard. If you are using a mobile device, you will need to press the three dashes to access the in-game menu.
Once you've opened the settings, you'll want to switch to the cog icon at the top of the menu. Click on it and you should read 'game' at the top left. The first option in this menu is "language". You will choose between several options in the menu.
Here are all your options:
- Arab
- English
- French
- German
- Italian
- Japanese
- Korean
- Polish
- Portuguese (Brazil)
- Russian
- Spanish
- Spanish (Latin America)
- Turkish
These are all the options available to players in the game. Changing these settings is pretty straightforward, but you don't want to get stuck in the menu when you can't read what's going on.
The game will default to English and read System Default (US English). There is no need to change it if you can read it correctly.
Hope this helps.
