Guide No Man's Sky Next: How to Complete Expeditions

One of the best ways to acquire a lot of money and get your hands on some rare materials in No Man’s Sky Next is to complete fleet expeditions. You can complete fleet expeditions after you have assigned yourself a frigate, allowing you to really start earning something in the long run. Today we'll show you everything you need to know about completing expeditions in No Man's Sky.

How to Complete Expeditions

The first step to completing expeditions with your fleet is to learn how to get a merchant ship. Once you get your hands on one of these huge ships, you can set up a cargo command station inside it, then start traveling through different galaxies and earn new frigates for your fleet. We've written a guide on how to get one or more merchant ships, you can read it by clicking on this link. What we are talking about here, however, is how to send your freighters on different expeditions, which you can do by interacting with the Navigator.

Once you have talked to the Merchant Navigator, you will be provided with a list of available shipments that you can complete at the time of your request. You will also be assigned a time or duration limit for each shipment, as well as the distance travelled by your frigates and even the type of shipment and the difficulty of the shipment you are about to face.

There are several types of expeditions that you can complete. For example, Combat Patrols, Voyages of Discovery and Balanced Expeditions, but there may be other types out there that have not yet been discovered.

When you have selected an expedition, send your fleet to it and wait for the timer to stop. Once completed, the fleet will return with the goods in tow. Or, if they somehow fail, you may lose some of your ships. Either way, completing shipments is a great way to get a good amount of money, as well as a good way to grow your stock.
