Although we have been confined to the house for almost two weeks due to COVID-19 or Coronavirus, we still don't know when we will be able to leave the house. Therefore, teleworking has become essential in everyday life.
So in addition to a good computer to work with, like a laptop, iPad or Microsoft Surface - unfortunately, Android tablets aren't good for working - good software is essential.
And although companies like Microsoft or Apple itself have some of the most popular applications and tools to work with, we can't forget Google, and if big company G is characterized by anything, it is for its multitude of services, all from among the 'other, in addition to being totally free, they are cross-platform, so we can use them on computers, smartphones and tablets.
Hangout
On these dates of confinement at home, one of the things we miss most - or not - is seeing the faces of our collaborators. Here because Hangouts is a perfect app with which to hold meetings with other colleagues or just see your face and chat for a long time.
Google Docs, Google Sheets and Slides
Three in one. Although Microsoft Office is with Word, Excel and Powerpoint the absolute king in terms of office applications, the Google tools are no exception and have several really useful features. First of all, they're completely free, sync seamlessly with Google Drive, and allow multiple users to work and edit the same document at the same time.
Google Drive
Obviously for teleworking it is necessary to have a good cloud service. Again there are many options on the market, although one of the best known is Google Drive, as it is one of the cloud services that offers more storage space in its free version and above all for how it works.
Google calendar
And, of course, for everything to go smoothly in teleworking, we need to be perfectly organized. Write down events, online meetings, projects that need to be submitted before a date ... for all of this a good calendar app is essential and although, as we have said before, there are many options, we will not deceive you, few apps surpass Google's calendar.
As you can see, it is not necessary to invest a lot of money to be able to work from the comfort of our home. With a good device and applications and tools like those that Google offers us completely free of charge, we can get a lot out of our work while not being in our office in person. Furthermore, the advantage of these tools is that it does not matter if we work with a Windows PC, a MacBook, an iPad or an Android tablet such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, in all these devices we can use Google services.
