Genshin Impact's world level is increased by increasing your Adventure Rank.
World level increases are tied to your Adventure Rank, so you'll need to focus on leveling if you want to increase the difficulty and the rewards. World-level unlocks are also available in two versions: automatic and quest-locked. For reference, here is how the current three world levels are unlocked:
- World Tier 1 - Adventure Rank 20
- World level changes to 1 once you reach Rank 20 and visit the Adventure Guild.
- World Tier 2 - Adventure Rank 25
- The world level is increased after completing it in your quest log.
- World Tier 3 - Adventure Rank 30
- The world level automatically drops to 3 once you reach Rank 30 and visit the Adventure Guild.
As Genshin Impact is updated, expect the world level and adventure rank caps to increase. Update 1.1 will likely increase the Adventure Rank cap, so we'll be able to access World Tier 4 by then. Note that there is no way to lower the world level, so be sure to upgrade your main group before leveling up. A simple rule of thumb for keeping up with General Level increases is to double the Adventure Rank required to unlock the associated World Level. THAT IS TO SAY. World level 2 enemies tend to cap at level 50.
As for the quest: it will take place in an advanced realm, and you will have to clear a handful of coins on enemies, a platform between segments, and complete not one, but two timed battles (the final being against a real one). boss). Make sure to upgrade your characters and gear beforehand, and you should be fine. Yes, having the recommended items helps, but if you have a crushing party, you won't be too embarrassed to run with a few of the recommendations missing.
