Fortnite update 11.31 arrived earlier today, kicking off Winterfest and making other smaller changes to the game. The update introduces the Battle Lab, allowing you to create your own Battle Royale games where you are in control. the rules. Playground has been moved to the Creative section, allowing you to play creative cards while you are in the queue. The DirectX 12 beta has been deactivated, so if you were part of it, you would be back on DirectX 11.
