With the introduction of Fortnite season 4, along with the new Marvel event, new catchable fish species have also been added. In this guide we will illustrate the new specimens by describing their rarity and the effects they will apply to players.
How to speed up the fishing process and description of new fish
Before trying to catch the new specimens released in season 4 we strongly recommend that you retrieve your professional fishing rod from one of the barrels located on the map. Once you have recovered it, you can try to obtain the new specimens illustrated below:
Hop Flopper
- Rarity: Epic item
- Description: This fish applies Low gravity for 45 seconds and heals players who use it for 15 seconds.
Jellyfish
- Rarity: Rare item
- Description: This jellyfish returns 25 shield or health HP to the player and his teammates (who are nearby).
Shield Fish
- Rarity: Rare item
- Description: Returns 50 shield HP to the player and his teammates (who are nearby).
Spicy Fish
- Rarity: Rare item
- Description: This fish applies the speed boost effect for 45 seconds and heals players who use it for 15 seconds.
Thermal Fish
- Rarity: Legendary item
- Description: This fish applies thermal imaging for 45 seconds, makes it easier to spot enemies, and heals players who use it for 15 seconds.
Slurpfish
- Rarity: Epic item
- Description: Returns 50 HP of shield or life.
Flopper
- Rarity: Uncommon object
- Description: Returns 50 HP of life.
Small Fry
- Rarity: Common object
- Description: Returns 25 HP of life up to a maximum of 75 player's total HP.
