So with the start of the Solstice of Heroes event in Destiny 2, the Guardians are wondering if they should wear the special Solstice of Heroes armor that Eva Levante gave them. The event centers around this armor, and you'll have to complete various challenges to upgrade it from Renewed, to Majestic, and then finally to Magnificent.
If you are wondering if you should wear this armor to complete the challenges, the answer is yes, unfortunately. If you've worked hard to get a high power level and are above the 1020 armor power level, unfortunately you will need to take a step back, at least for now. The majority of the challenges aren't too hard and you should be able to overcome them fairly quickly.
To check out the different challenges for each piece of armor, you can scroll through your inventory. Each room will have three challenges to complete to move to the next level. You start with the renewed armor, and when you complete one of the pieces, you can meditate on the statue of heroes to improve them.
If you want, because you want to do something that requires all of your available power like a Nightfall or a Raid, you can just change your armor to your regular pieces, but you won't be able to work on the challenges by doing this. . While it would be nice to be able to put the armor in your inventory and work on your challenges while wearing better gear, it would kind of ruin the theme of the event, so we understand why that's not possible.
