In Season of Dawn, the first thing you'll need to do is visit Ikora at the tower to start the A Matter of Time quest. She will give you the Mercury Disturbance quest step, telling you that Osiris needs your help. To visit the sundial, simply open your manager and navigate to Destinations, then click on Mercury. At the top of the map will be a new node for The Sundial.
Click on it, then go up the steps to the waypoint and enter the sundial itself. Talk to Osiris, who will give you the next part of the quest.
Step 1 - Recovery operation
For the next part of the quest, you will need to repair the Sundial Obelisk on the Tangled Shore. To do this, you will need to collect the items on the Dead Cabal. To save time, only spawn at Soriks Cut, then kill every Cabal you see until you have all the items you need. Once done, head to the fast travel point at Thieve's Landing.
The obelisk is right next to the fast travel point, so go down to the platform with the console on it and interact with it to repair the obelisk.
Step 2 - Light collection
Now that the Obelisk has been repaired and modified, you need to collect Light. To do this, kill the enemies with your abilities, your Super, and collect The Orbs of Light. Equip one or two Mastered Weapons to make sure plenty of Orbs of Light will drop, then kill any enemies you can find. Keep using Abilities and Supers to get your kills until you've fully charged your light charge to 100%.
