The reception was mixed, to say the least. Where you fall on the spectrum seems to correlate strongly with the hardware supporting your version of the game. High-end PC gamers enjoy the game the way CD Projekt Red intended for the most part, while those with older components and those on top of the game. Latest generation base consoles find it difficult to take advantage of what has been designed.
A myriad of bugs and performance issues have firmly established themselves as obstacles in the way of those attempting to play the game. In fact, Sony and Microsoft have stepped in to offer refunds to anyone who is not satisfied. The PlayStation camp went further by removing digital copies of Cyberpunk 2077 from the PS Store entirely.
Assuming you haven't ditched this flawed gem and asked for your money's worth, a new fix has been put in place to alleviate some of the issues that are keeping the game from its true potential. Patch 1.05 is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Cyberpunk 2077. PC will follow shortly.
