Call of Duty: Modern Warfare version 1.14 patch notes

The second season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare begins today, and patch notes are now available for you to watch. Ghost is coming to the game as a new Operator, and fan favorite Rust is making a comeback. There's a new map called Atlas Superstore, and a special Gunfight map called Bazaar. This is good news if you get a little too used to the maps on offer.


Two new weapons have also arrived, in the form of the GRAU 5.56 rifle and the Striker 45 submachine gun. You can find the full patch notes, including all fixes and balance changes, below.

General fixes

  • Fixed "Focus" challenge not tracking correctly.
  • Krovnik farmland
    • Rotated
    • Removed access to the second floor in a handful of centrally located houses (see locations marked in red below)
  • Fixed various exploits on Ground War maps.
  • Fixed an issue where players could team-kill Heal Package Owners and teammates while capturing Heal Packages.
  • Fixed for Platinum and Damascus camos sometimes having blinding glare in some areas that contain sunlight.
  • Fixed a rare bug that could prevent players from accessing the Barracks, Weapons and / or Operators tabs after matches.
  • Deactivated the "Copy load" function.

Field upgrades

  • Trophy System: Reduced deployment time by approximately half a second.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed players to get infinite weapon drops by canceling Killstreaks. Kills are no longer usable while the Weapon Tear Grenade is equipped.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented objectives from progressing in the field.

Benefits - Rebalancing

  • Perk 1 Slots
    • Overkill: locations changed with Kill Chain and will now be in Perk 2
    • EOD .: Removed hacking ability (added to Spotter's benefit)
    • Double Time: Double the Tactical Sprint recharge rate
    • Quick Fix: Reduced health regeneration time - any kill will immediately start regeneration
  • Perk 2 Slots
    • Phantom: Remove instant grenade immunity (moved to Battle Hardened)
    • Replenishment: Change gear recharge rate from 30 seconds to 25 seconds
    • Kill Chain: switched locations with Overkill In Perk 1
    • Pointman: Increase score gain for Scorestreaks in all modes
  • Perk 3 Slots
    • Tune Up: Increase Field Leveling Cost Reduction
    • Spotter: Added hacking ability (from EOD); we are currently working on the possibility of hacking the walls.
    • Battle Hardened:
      • Added Snapshot Grenade Immunity (moved from Ghost)
      • Added resistance to the gas grenade:
        • Cough is no longer played when a player enters gas
        • Reduced slowing down under gas effect
        • Reduced blur under the effect of gas

Arms

  • Crossbow:
    • Fixed some kills not tracking correctly when attempting to unlock the crossbow
    • Fixed explosive Fury crossbow bolts not killing Juggernauts in one hit
    • Very slight adjustment of the reloading speed. We're still tweaking this one, so more tweaks are on the way!
    • Fixed a bug where the crossbow did not deal any melee damage to deployable cover
  • SA87: smoothed recoil, increased damage
  • Increased RAM-7 Extended Mag ammo count from 45 to 50
  • A note from the weapons team: The Solozero NVG Enhanced is supposed to see through smoke, but a rendering bug temporarily broke that optic. We will have it fixed shortly.

Special operations

  • Operation Harbinger: Fixed an issue with a checkpoint that could cause players to spawn under the map.

Keyboard and mouse

  • Added Skip to loadout hotkeys for custom loadouts 6-10, allowing players to quickly jump to any of their favorite loadouts with the push of a button.
  • Fixed a visual issue where highlighting the usernames of multiple people in a lobby with the mouse cursor could cause multiple Emblem / Player Card / Level UI items to appear and overlap.

Call of Duty League

  • Removed specialist restrictions.

Cod Roulette

  • For keyboard and mouse codcasters, it is now possible to bring up player upgrades by pressing a key in the same way as with Killstreaks. It also shows the exact progression until each player unlocks their respective field level upgrade.
  • Players' health levels are displayed in the background of their portraits.
  • Player numbers are now displayed on the minimap and are larger when viewed on the full map.

PC

  • When using the Tracker perk, footprints are now visible even when Impacts and Bullet Sprays is disabled in the Graphics tab.
  • Several fixes to prevent crashes and improve stability.
