This is a common problem faced by many Android phone owners, and the reason comes from the wrong size of the photo in question or image. This article explains the criteria for the creation of wallpapers with optimized dimensions for your Android mobile and provides examples of how to do this via software on a PC or via applications directly on your Android mobile.

Android app to download free wallpapers
Before seeing how to optimize your photos in wallpapers, the fastest solution to change your mobile wallpaper is to rely on an app for Android that allows you to choose from thousands of images the one you want to set as wallpaper on your mobile.

Once the application is installed you will have the possibility to choose and set any image as wallpaper for your mobile or just for the lock screen.
Because your photos are not good as wallpapers
The wallpapers on the Android phone are managed to appear "panned" on the various displays and this often removes the overall panoramic effect of the photo or image. However, to understand the width and resolution of the screen it must be considered that if the resolution of the phone is 480 × 800 (height x width), a good background image must have a resolution of 960 x 800.
The resizing operation of a photo can be performed either from applications on the phone or on the computer.
Photo Optimizer App
If you prefer to edit the image directly on your Android phone, there are many applications to choose from, such as Photo Editor which is available in Google Play.
After installing the application, start the program and select “Gallery” on the homepage.
Upload the photo you want to configure. Scroll and press the “Resize / Fit” option from the list of functions at the bottom.
Click in the “Manual” section and enter the resolution data for your Android phone in the background. In our example, we are using the background resolution of 960 x 800, it is calculated for a Samsung Galaxy S2.
Be sure to deselect "Constrain Proportions" so that you can enter the exact figures. Click OK to continue.
The photo has now been resized. Select the green tick icon at the top right to save the changes.
Select the disk icon at the top right. There are several options: for example the image quality setting (10-100). Since we want to set this image as wallpaper on the Android device, click on the Wallpaper option. For our example, we have chosen to leave the quality as the default value of “95”.
Done!
PC programs to optimize photos for backgrounds
For computers, there are a variety of free programs that can be used to generate the wallpaper you want. Even simple Paint in Windows does this job excellently.
