The International Identity of Mobile Equipment o IMEI on a smartphone it is a unique set of numbers and letters that identifies your phone or tablet. If you are wondering where you can locate the IMEI number on an Android smartphone, you can usually find it by following one of the options:

Option 1 - Android Settings
- Touch "Settings”From the Home screen.
- (For some models you can skip this step) Select "System".
- Scroll down and tap "Phone information","About the tablet" or " Device information ".
- Tap " State ".
- Select " IMEI information ".
- The IMEI is listed on the screen.
Option 2 - Box
The IMEI is also often found on the package sold in which the phone was placed. It can usually be found on a white barcode sticker.
Option 3 - SIM card tray
Not all, but some devices have IMEI printed on the SIM card tray. Use a paper clip or SIM eject tool to press the button and open the tray. You may need a magnifying glass to view the IMEI.
Option 4 - Telephone extension
If you have a phone with a removable battery, you can usually eject the battery and view the IMEI somewhere in the battery compartment.
If you don't have a removable battery, the IMEI number is probably still somewhere inside the phone. It will just take a little more effort. Visit iFixit to see if there are instructions for taking apart the phone so you can check.
