As if there weren't too many Call of Duty: Modern Warfare maps to count already, the game's new season five update will offer a handful more. On the game's YouTube channel, a video, mostly showing Warzone content, shows snippets of the incoming maps for traditional 6v6, Gunfight, and Ground War modes. While this isn't your regular season, much of the content is odes to Warzone locations.

Users of the 6v6 game mode will see two new maps, Sudal Harbor and Petrov Oil Rig. Sudal Harbor appears to be similar to the location of the Warzone Quarry, but placed by the ocean. Two long buildings separate the spawn points for each team, as the middle is filled with shipping crates. Petrov Oil Rig will be Modern Warfare's first above-ground map, almost identical to Call of Duty 4's Wet Work map. The platform is a maze, of sorts, with crates dividing the two teams, as well as buildings. in each spawn.
Ground War is also getting a Warzone-inspired map, as Verdank International Airport will be playable in the mode. The map will include everything from its battle royale counterpart, from its hangers to huge parking lots. Gunfight will be given a recognizable new card, named Livestock. The location is practically a scaled-down version of the traditional multiplayer map, Arklov Peak, but only includes its giant barn section.
The Season 5 Battlepass, along with its new multiplayer maps, will be available to all players on August 5.
