The Ailment mobile game released this summer, and in just a few short months it has proven to be an addicting hit game worth mentioning. After our first impressions too positive et an interview with the game's creator, Ivan Panasenko, we left things on a positive note about 4 months ago. However, during this time, the game surpassed 400 downloads on iOS and Android, as Mr. Panasenko was busy adapting the game to the PC, which is now available on Steam.
That's right, the crazy, fun-fast-paced action is now available on Steam for just under $ 5, and it brings all the sheer extravaganza of pixel-art action. If you haven't tried or read Ailment yet, the story of the game takes place in space where the main character wakes up in a spaceship after being unconscious for a few days. The last thing he remembered was that he and the rest of the crew were going to answer a distress call somewhere in space.
Now, after waking up, Jonathan doesn't seem to remember what happened. Plus, he can't find anyone among his former teammates until he meets one of his comrades who is… different now. Don't give too much away, but blood is drawn and shots fired as you need to stay alive and take control of the situation.
Ailment is a thug-like game with fast-paced action where enemies are constantly trying to get or shoot you. In brief moments between bloodbaths, the player can sort their gear, choose their weapons, and adjust their strategy. With a pixel art style, this game looks deceptive but it actually offers a lot of depth in all its aspects. The enemy uses weapons and the ship's systems against Jonathan. You must therefore be more cunning and overtaking in the face of the endless stream of dangers that await you.
The PC version of this game still retains its pixel art and quirky atmosphere. The control scheme is adjusted but remains close to the main gameplay. In addition to becoming so popular, Ailment mobile received the Game of the Day award on the App Store on September 28, 2019 and its scores still stand. 4.5 on Google Play et 4.6 on the iTunes App Store. You can now check it out on PC through Steam by following this link.
