Seaman (1999)
The game designer Yoot Saito he was serious about creating a different, bizarre, and at the same time innovative video game. Thus, after 5 years of production it was born Seaman, a videogame about the simulation of life. Narrated by the mythical Leonard Nimoy, in Seaman the player impersonates the owner of a truly strange creature: a being that, in its final form, manifests itself as an animal creature with a human face, able to swim and walk on earth, sentient and able to communicate with people. The player's goal is to care for the creature, feed it, clean its habitat, and assist in its growth and evolution into its final form. The plus value added to the game (in addition to its total nonsense that we love), lies in the voice communication with which the player can interact with the creature.
Goat Simulator (2014)
In this simulation video game, you will impersonate a goat! Yes exactly. Within the open world of Goat Simulator, the player will be able to delight in all those wonderful goat actions with which he has always wanted to try his hand: jumping, running, bleating. But for the more daring, now fed up with the standard and banal actions of an average goat, there is one more gem: using the tongue, the goat is able to attack and drag different objects in the game, people included! Despite the great peculiarity of the game, Goat Simulator became famous to the public for the oodles of easter egg present inside the video game.
I am Jesus Christ (2019)
There would be nothing to add, the title already says it all. In I am Jesus Christ, you will literally play the role of Jesus; developed in the first person, the purpose of the game is to relive the life of Jesus, from his birth to the ascent of the heavens, passing through themultiplying the loaves and fishes, to restore sight to the blind, drive away evil, appease the storm impetuously and be accompanied in yours last supper by the apostles. A game that inevitably divided the masses into 2: those who were extremely intrigued by this video game, and those who found it disrespectful towards the new testament.
Hatoful Boyfriend (2011)
A game that absolutely could not miss; in this videogame we will play the role of the only human being admitted to a prestigious school for birds. Yes, because the game is set in a future where birds have evolved to become intelligent.
As the story progresses, you will get to know all the characters, each with their own character and backstory. The player will then have to choose their actions, choosing from those proposed in order to succeed find your soul mate (yes, among the birds). We don't feel compelled to add anything else.
Shaq-Fu (1994)
Shaq fu is a 2D fighting game released for Sega Mega Drive e Super Nintendo. The video game sees you as the protagonist celebrated NBA star Shaquille O'Neal wandering around a kung fu dojo while learning about a charity basketball game in Tokyo. Muscle March (2009)
Only released for Nintendo Wii, in this very particular pearl we will be driving a New Year's train made up of greasy and greasy bodybuilders, women in bikinis and polar bears. The aim of the game will be chasing a thief running away by making holes in the wall. Our character will have to put himself in certain positions to be able to cross the wall correctly. I am Bread (2015)
With this game we discover that even the life of a slice of sandwich bread is not as simple as we thought. Mr. Murton always finds his house dirty with bread crumbs without understanding why. As the game progresses, he finds that the cause of all that clutter is caused by some sentient slices of bread. In fact, in the videogame the player will have to fill the role of a slice of bread and move around the house with the aim of turning into toast. If the bread, before becoming toast, touches some objects (for example the floor, water or ants), it will get dirty and the "edibility" meter will decrease. We got hungry.
Eighties (2010)
A video game in which the player will find himself impersonating a loving anthropomorphic octopus and father of a family who has to do everything to avoid discovering his cephalopod roots. To succeed in this, it will be enough just to carry out those very normal tasks that a good family man does every day, even when the rest of the family is made up of very normal human beings.
Untitled goose game (2019)
Evil has come between us. In Untitled Goose Game we will fill the role of a bad goose intent on wreaking havoc within a peaceful village. In this way the player will be able to easily walk around the village with his beautiful webbed feet to organize tricks at the expense of the citizens, steal hats, and in general, be hated a little by everyone. A game so strange that in a short time it has already reached the million people who have played it.
Superliminal (2019)
We have reached the last point (but not in order of importance) of this list full of strange video games. Superliminal is a puzzle video game played in the first person in which the character-player participates in a dream therapy program, but during the study, the character remains trapped in a recurring cycle of dreams and, in order to get out of it, he will be guided by the voice of the office supervisor, Dr. Glenn Pierce. It is a very interesting and particular game, as it subjects you to different games of wits, some of which can be solved with the use of forced perspective: The player can pick up a waist-high object, which is then kept at its current size regardless of the player's perspective.
