On the occasion of its arrival in Europe, Vivo presented, in addition to a rich portfolio of phones, also some devices dedicated to the world audio. Among these are the TWS Neo wireless earphones, which we had the opportunity to try to be able to tell you about them later. So here's our review of the earphones I live TWS Neo.
Our Vivo TWS Neo review
The Vivo earphones are presented as an extremely refined product from the point of view of design. They are contained within an extremely pouch compact, even capable of entering the pocket of jeans. It is characterized by a glossy finish, very beautiful to the eye, but which makes the very visible footprints.
Once extracted, the earphones result small e light. Despite the absence of ear tips, the headphones remain comfortably e firmly enough in the ears when worn. Despite the certification IP54 against sweat e splashing water, however, the insertion is not firm enough to allow sports that are too intense.
The audio experience is definitely excellent, although the lack of an in-ear design does not guarantee isolation from external noise. Sound is clear e ricco, although always within the limits imposed by the headset format. Latency is reasonably low, enough not to be noticeable when watching multimedia content. Even the voice, both incoming and outgoing, turns out a lot clear, making this model perfect for phone calls.
At the level of autonomy, the promise 4 hours of reproductions per single charge, extended to 22 with even the charge of the case, it is abundantly respected. Being able to charge the case independently of the headphones, the charge level, however shown in the phone, rarely proved to be a problem or a concern.
Smart by name and by nature
As is now common in many headphones of this type, even in the case of the Vivo TWS Neo there is one touch surface to interact with to give various playback commands. With a double tap it is possible for example stop e restart the music, while swiping your finger along the earpiece you can adjust the volume. Not all operations are intuitive or easy: for the aforementioned volume adjustment, for example, it is often necessary hold the headset steady while swiping with your finger. The interaction is then unfortunately limited to the right earphone, making operations more difficult for left-handed users.
In addition to touch controls, Vivo's earphones are also equipped with autonomous smart features. First of all the headphones yes will turn on e and they will turn off automatically when extracted and reinserted into the case. Removing them from the ears during reproduction, then, the latter it will stop, to resume when reinserted.
If you have a Vivo phone, pairing the headphones will be immediate, complete with animation and detailed settings built into the Bluetooth ones. For those not equipped with a phone of this brand, however, do not worry: using the dedicated vivo Earphones application you will have access to all the features and settings.
To buy or not to buy?
At a recommended price of 129 €, the Vivo TWS Neo are certainly not among the cheapest products in this category, and are closer to the cost of products Samsung e Apple rather than those of other Chinese companies. The similarity with the former, however, is also true at the level of quality e functionality, thus justifying the price, especially for owners of a Vivo smartphone. So if you're looking for a great pair of true wireless earbuds and aren't on a tight budget, this model might be worth considering.
