Sunnybag ICONIC review: how does it work?
The peculiarity of Sunnybag ICONIC is evident: on the front we find the high efficiency SUNPOWER panel which allows you to accumulate energy by exploiting the sun. Don't worry: all this does not translate into an unnecessarily complex operation and does not transform the backpack into a delicate product.
But let's go in order.
Sunnybag ICONIC converts the sun's rays into energy which is transmitted to a female USB cable that you find inside the backpack. All you have to do is connect a device - such as a smartphone - or a power bank to the latter.
In fact, the solar panel does not retain energy, it only takes care of converting it. This means that when you are in the sun it will transmit the current to the connected device, while once in the shade you will no longer be able to take advantage of it. From here the need for a power bank, a place where you can store energy and then use it when you really need it.
Any accessory that can accumulate the generated current can fit the purpose, so if you already have your trusted power bank know that you can use that. Using a power bank brings with it another important advantage: the charging speed. Keep in mind that the solar panel has a low capacity which means it takes hours to fully charge a phone. The power bank, on the other hand, is usually faster. Our advice is therefore to take advantage of the Sunnybag ICONIC features to accumulate energy and use it later, especially if you intend to use the backpack in the city and if you constantly need a smartphone. If, on the other hand, you plan long walks in the mountains, know that direct recharging is also an option: once you have concentrated on your walk you will not need a constant smartphone and you can leave it charged for several hours without too much difficulty.

And the spaces?
Of course ICONIC is not just an environmentally conscious backpack. His 20 liters of capacity make it suitable for both everyday use and travel. In fact, you can take advantage of it for short trips by putting inside spare clothes, a small beauty case and everything you need to work, from the PC - up to 17 inches - to the tablet, obviously passing through wallet, documents, notepads, business cards and much more. There really is everything.
Aesthetically, it is well studied. The presence of the solar panel, which is also removable, is not invasive, the shoulder straps are resistant, the padding on the back protects your back and there is even a handle to help you lift it. The fabrics are sturdy, weatherproof and accompanied by rainproof zippers that protect your electronic devices even when it rains. In case of need, then you will find a cover in the lower pocket that helps you protect it if the weather conditions were particularly adverse.
Inside, the Sunnybag ICONIC is also yellow. A choice that is anything but random: the flashy coloring helps you find everything you need in seconds, instead we usually waste tens of minutes a day looking for what we need because dark objects blend with gray interiors or black backpack.

Is it worth buying? In my opinion, yes. With about 100 euros you can take home a product with an extra gear. It's not just a well thought-out backpack and suitable for a multitude of different situations - from work use to a trip out of town - but it is also ua solution that can provide you with energy when you need it. And if you decide to add a power bank to it, you won't even realize you have it: it will work for you and will be ready to help you in your time of need.
