Trust Gaming GXT 488 Forze recensione
Being a novice player isn't easy. You have to navigate your way through platforms, genres, video games, subscriptions, and even accessories. The notorious ones also belong to the latter category gaming headphones, that is products designed to facilitate communication with other players or simply to have fun late at night without waking up neighbors and cohabitants.
But which headset to buy? And, above all, do I necessarily have to spend very high amounts to buy a suitable one? Rest assured: you can take home a good pair of headphones for less than 50 euros. This is where the Trust Gaming GXT 488 Forze, a product designed for PlayStation 4 and sold to 49,99 euro.
Cheap but well built
As this is an economic accessory, we certainly cannot be surprised by the materials chosen: the Trust Gaming GXT 488 Forze are mainly made up of plastic but this does not compromise the build quality. The feeling is that of having in your hands a solid product, well built and designed to guarantee players the necessary comfort. The headband is in fact quite padded as well as the two auricles.
Aesthetically, the Gaming GXT 488 Forces are essential: we have the PlayStation and GXT logos on the outside, a chrome part corresponding to the guides for adjusting the headband and some blue details to remind us of the official PlayStation license. However, they exist two other color variants, camouflage gray and camouflage blue, in case you want something less traditional.
It is not missing naturally the microphone, equipped with an anti-pop filter (which mitigates the effect generated by the pronunciation of P and B), foldable to bring it closer or away from your mouth and rotatable upwards to hide it when you don't need it.
Finally we have the 1,2 meter braided cable which ends with a 3,5mm audio jack and which is equipped with in-line checks. The latter are perhaps the aspect that we least appreciated on the design front: the dongle is in fact too big considering that it only includes the volume wheel and a switch to change the microphone. It would probably have been more convenient to have the controls directly on the earpads or a smaller dongle.

Trust Gaming GXT 488 Forze headphones integrate driver from 50 mm with a frequency ranging from 20 to 20.000 Hz. The sound quality is pretty good but not particularly balanced: the lows are predominant over the highs and mids, but this does not compromise the gaming experience. On the contrary, it serves to better perceive shots, explosions and footsteps.
On the other hand, the microphone that allowed us to pass with flying colors communicate without difficulty with peers. Your allies will therefore be able to perceive your voice in a clear and crystalline way, without distortion of any kind.
Finally, the comfort is convincing. Of course, the feeling is that you are wearing a cheap product, very different from more famous and expensive headphones, but you will have no difficulty in dealing with game sessions of 2-3 hours.
