5. VLK Rogue
The VLK Rogue was added in season two of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and can only be unlocked by getting seven kills in 15 different matches with a shotgun that has five attachments, so you'll be playing the game quite a bit. time before you can get your hands on it. It has a short range, even for a shotgun, and is one of the least damaging weapons in the class, also with the lowest rate of fire. Along with the attachments, the gun can be quite useful as there is a lot of customization to go along with its handling, which is best in class, but having to work to unlock those attachments forces us to stick with the other shotguns. which have their uses and do not give as much of a headache.
4. R9-0
The R9-0 is a double barreled shotgun with an emphasis on close quarters combat. Although the range is not great on the pistol, it is one of the most accurate and controllable shotguns in Modern Warfare. Losing range is a big sacrifice with the pistol, but it's still not a terrible choice to use. However, all of the other shotguns in the game are probably a better choice, at least at launch. Every other Modern Warfare shotgun has something that stands out and makes it a must-have choice. R9-0 does not have this factor.
3. Model 680
The Model 680 is a well rounded 12 gauge shotgun. The loading time on the pistol is unbearable, but when loaded the pistol is lethal from a decent distance. Unfortunately, with the pump pistol, you'd better finish off the enemy with the first shot; otherwise, you might be blown away. The spread on the pistol is tuned just to make it effective at better range than the R9-0, but loading shells leaves you fully open to fire for an extended period of time.
2. Origin 12
The Origin 12 is a semi-automatic shotgun with tons of ammo. The weapon's mobility stat is off the charts. Although it does not have a great range, this pistol will allow you to hunt down your opponents and enigrate them with shells. Level it up enough and you can even attach a barrel capable of holding 25 rounds to it before reloading. You basically turn this shotgun into an LMG.
1. 725
The 725 is a shotgun with surprising range and the most damage in the class. There will be many situations where an enemy feels out of reach and you will kill them with one hit. If you find yourself in tight spaces with a few enemies, the 725 is the best weapon in the game for quick and efficient elimination. Even though there are only two hits before you need a reload, the reload speed is fast to keep you in the fight. The pistol's range and fast-firing nature easily make the 725 the best shotgun in Modern Warfare.
