As fun as The Sims 4 it's no secret that the game is goofy, and some tasks in getting your sims where they want to be in life can take some time. Whether you want an easier experience, want to improve a bunch of virtual lives (or more miserable), or want to make your Sims the richest people in the world, there are a few must-have tips that can make a world of difference.
To launch all of these cheats, the first step is to pull up on the cheat bar. You can remove it in the following ways:
- For PC: hold down Ctrl + Shift, then press C
- For Mac: Hold Command + Shift, then press C
- PS4 + X-Box: Hold all four bumper buttons at the same time
Most cheats also require the extra step of activating the cheats in the first place. To do this, enter "testingcheats true, ""testcheats on, "or"testingcheats enabled. “There's no real difference, but every computer looks different with the option that works. Once that's set up, the fun can begin.
Get rich quick
It's the old classic that's been around since The Sims 2, and it immediately fixes a bunch of problems for your Sims. Enter "Motherlode“In the Cheat Bar instantly gives your sims 50 simoleans per entry. Not only will your sims lack nothing for the rest of their lives, but if you have a sim whose main aspiration is to be rich: congratulations , you reached it with just one click.
If you want to work casually until your Sims are rolling cash, enter "Kaching"Or"Rosebud»Will add 1 simoleons per entry.
It's free real estate
Enter "FreeRealEstate onIn the Bar eliminates the headache that causes your brand new Sim family to move into the cheapest home with the worst conditions right off the bat. Enter the command in the neighborhood view, and once you get back to the family you want to upgrade, have them relocate and you have all the fantastic vacant lots available. Or you can combine your new family with a pre-existing family.
Edit relationships
Sims relationships are based on a point system, so if you're not willing to spend hours upon hours asking your Sims to tell bad jokes, pick up lines, kiss and ask questions risky, there is a cheat to that.
The highest number of relationship points you can get is 100. So if you want to add friendship points, type the command as follows:
- Modifyrelationship (The Sim you are playing as the current first name) (Their last name) (Target Sim's first name) (Target Sim's last name) (Numeric value) LTR_Friendship_Main
- If you want to change their romance level, it's the same, but replace LTR_Friendship_Main with “Romance_Main”.
That's a lot of words that come to mind, so as an example, your options should look like this if you were playing as John Smith and wanted to give him a good reputation with Jane Doe. Using upper and lower case letters seems to matter, so keep an eye out for that:
- edit relationship John Smith Jane Doe 100 LTR_Friendship_Main
- edit relationship John Smith Jane Doe 100 Romance_Main
If you want your Sim to make enemies, just like you can add to your Friendship and Romance points, you can take them away. It suffices to make the value of the point a negative number.
Editing Sims After Creation
If you're not a fan of the way your Sims go about creating a Sim, or if you no longer feel their careers, marriages, roommates, etc., there's a solution to that as well.
Enter first "Cas.fulleditmode"in the bar. Then select the Sim you want to edit (hold Shift + click on Sim for PC, press and hold O, then press X while holding O on PS4, press and hold B then press A while now B for X-Box One.) The menu will provide options to edit your sim in Create-a-Sim, edit their marriage, remove them from a family, or even stop their needs from decaying, or just make them happy Take advantage of your new status as a god.
Place objects anywhere
Enter "bb.moveobjects on“In the bar lets you do just that - move any object in your spell anywhere - and I mean nowhere, cut and all.
This is good for designing houses, but if there is too little space between objects when it comes to something your Sims can interact with, they will always think something is in the way, preventing them from doing so. Now you never have to worry about the glitchy "cannot be placed near a wall" or "cannot intersect with other objects" error message again.
