One of the funniest and most exciting additions to Resident Evil 3 Remake is the different cheats, which can be purchased at the virtual shop in the game. Before proceeding any further, it is necessary to make a premise: the tricks we are going to talk about are not cheats in the "classic" sense of the term, but they are real bonuses, which can be purchased individually at the game shop.
However, you can breathe a sigh of relief: you will not be obliged to any kind of microtransaction; in fact, the cheats in question can be purchased in exchange for a certain amount of points, which can be obtained by performing certain actions in the game (mostly, it is to achieve a certain number of kills with a certain weapon) or by completing the main quest at various difficulty levels.
In order to unlock any of the following tricks, you must first unlock the Resident Evil 3 Remake Store. At this point, a question may arise.
Full list of tricks
In Resident Evil 3 Remake there are 15 cheats, which will unlock various bonuses for our beloved protagonist. Below, we list all the tricks, indicating their cost in points and, of course, the advantages they provide.
Cheat #1 - [Costume] Jill - S.T.A.R.S. Gear - 2000 Points
It's Jill's S.T.A.R.S. equipment, the same one she was wearing in the accident at the house.
Cheat #2 - [Object] Recovery Coin - 4000 Points
It gradually regenerates health when equipped. Equip two of them to increase the effect (you can buy 2 for 8000 Points).
Cheat #3 - [Object] Iron Defense Coin - 4000 Points
It greatly increases your defense when equipped. Enable two to increase the effect (you can buy 2 for 8000 Points).
Cheat #4 - [Object] Assault Coin - 4000 Points
Significantly increases the attack power when equipped. Bring two to increase the effect (you can buy 2 for 8000 Points).
Cheat #5 - [Object] Crafting partner - 4000 Points
While equipped, it increases the amount of ammunition you earn by crafting.
Cheat #6 - [Object] S.T.A.R.S. Field Combat Manual - 6400 Points
An S.T.A.R.S. manual on close-range combat, carefully edited by Chris Redfield. As you equip it, physical skills like the Perfect Dodge become easier to perform.
Cheat #7 - [Subject] Lock Pick - 2800 Points
A specialized tool that allows an experienced user to unlock simple locks when no key is available.
Cheat #8 - [Object] Cutters - 2800 Points
A tool for cutting chains, cables and other similar objects.
Cheat #9 - [Subject] Bag - 4800 Points
A small bag with belt, good for carrying more objects. It will be included in the game at the time of purchase. It will not be available in Assisted mode, as this would exceed the maximum inventory capacity (you can buy 2 for 9600 Points).
Cheat #10 - [Weapon] Hot Dogger - 7200 Points
As the name suggests, this anti-bio-weapon knife developed by Umbrella is used by [Weapon] Samurai Edge - 5600 Points
9 mm pistol with 15 rounds capacity. It has been customized to Jill's personal specifications. Excellent across the board, with exceptional accuracy and firepower.
Cheat #12 - [Weapon] RAI-DEN - 12,000 Points
An energy weapon developed by Umbrella based on electrical phenomena. It has great stopping power, but only when it hits the enemy's weak points.
Cheat #13 - [Weapon] Infinite MUP Handgun - 8,000 Points
A well-balanced 16mm pistol with 16 rounds. Its incredible accuracy has led to its adoption by countless military personnel.
Cheat #14 - [Weapon] Infinite CQBR Assault Rifle - 28,400 Points
A 5.56x45mm assault rifle optimized by U.B.C.S. for this operation. Its reduced length offers great mobility, even in urban contexts.
Cheat #15 - [Weapon] Infinite Rocket Launcher - 62,400 Points
A recoilless rocket launcher that fires 84mm bullets. The rocket's penetrating power causes more damage than the explosion.
How to get weapons with unlimited ammo
What I said before about tricks also applies to weapons with infinite ammunition. As soon as you have completed the game's storyline for the first time, you'll unlock the store on the Resident Evil 3 Remake home screen, from which you can buy the items that most appeal to you, in exchange for a certain amount of points.
In case you're looking for a way to complete the most difficult game modes and get S-grade ratings, buying a weapon with infinite ammunition will definitely be a great option. There are four such weapons:
- Samurai Edge Pistol - 5600 Points
- Infinite MUP Handgun - 8,000 Points
- Infinite CQBR Assault Rifle - 28,400 Points
- Infinite Rocket Launcher - 62,400 Points
Our advice on which one of these weapons is best, can only fall on the rocket launcher. This portable destruction machine is capable of killing virtually any undead creature in the game with a single shot, except Nemesis, of course.
How to get so many points in a short time
As you may have noticed, both the tricks and the weapons with infinite ammunition have a cost of points more or less high. Therefore, it is legitimate to wonder what are the ways to earn points as quickly as possible.
Let's start by saying that each weapon has its own achievements, i.e. goals to achieve. In what way? But by killing as many zombies as possible with that particular fire-mouth, of course!
Below, we'll list all the achievements of the various weapons, indicating both the reward in points you'll get and the best point where you can make these game objectives.
- 100 shotgun kills - 3,200 Points - Metro Power Station / Control Room (use spider kills)
- 130 kills with shotgun - 6,200 Points - Subway Power Station / Control Room (take advantage of spider kills)
- 20 kills with the MAG - 6,600 Points - NEST 2 / Warehouse (for farming, you can take advantage of the room full of enemies that you will activate as soon as you use the red key)
- 80 kills with MAG - 10,400 Points - NEST 2 / Warehouse (for farming, you can take advantage of the room full of enemies that you will activate as soon as you use the red key)
- 80 kills with grenade launcher - 6,200 Points - NEST 2 / Warehouse (for farming, you can take advantage of the room full of enemies that will activate as soon as you use the red key)
- 120 kills with grenade launcher - 10,400 Points - NEST 2 / Warehouse (for farming, you can take advantage of the room full of enemies that will be activated as soon as you use the red key)
- 200 gun kills - 5,200 Points - Hospital / temporary infirmary (defending the hospital lobby as Carlos)
- 200 kills with assault rifle - 3,400 Points - Hospital / Temporary Infirmary (defending the hospital lobby as Carlos)
- 400 Assault Rifle kills - 8,400 Points - Hospital / Temporary Infirmary (defending the hospital lobby as Carlos)
- 400 kills (any weapon) - 5,200 Points - Hospital / Temporary Infirmary (defending the hospital lobby as Carlos)
- 800 kills (any weapon) - 8,200 Points - Hospital / Temporary Infirmary (defend the hospital lobby as Carlos)
- 1100 kills (any weapon) - 10,400 Points - Hospital / Temporary Infirmary (defend the hospital lobby as Carlos)
- 1400 kills (any weapon) - 10,600 Points - Hospital / Temporary Infirmary (defend the hospital lobby as Carlos)
- 2000 kills (any weapon) - 11,000 Points - Hospital / Temporary Infirmary (defend the hospital lobby as Carlos)
Fortunately, after you have reached a certain number of kills, the counter will not reset to zero, but will continue to progress until you reach the next goal. Let's take a simple example: you have reached 100 kills with the shotgun? To reach 130 kills, you only need to accumulate another 30 kills, without having to start from scratch.
