During the entire period of the 3rd confinement, it is possible to move within a radius of 10 km around your home. But there is one condition: to prove that you have not gone beyond this zone, you must have proof of address. What type of document can you present to the police to prove your good faith? We take stock here.
Starting the Saturday April 3, 2021 (from 19:00 p.m.) until May 2, 2021, travel restrictions are in place throughout Your metropolitan country. It is possible to move around without time limits to get some fresh air, play sports, while respecting the limits imposed by the curfew.
If the government does not use the term “containment”, the fact remains that the of the country are not free to travel as far as they want. Between 6 a.m. and 00 p.m., they cannot exceed a 10 km zone as the crow flies around their home, except for compelling reasons. Finally, always in this time slot, there is another imperative to respect: it is necessary to always have proof of address with you. But in fact, what type of document can we present?
What are the valid proof of address?
The government as well as the Service-public site lists the documents which serve as a home justice system. If the police control you, you can present one of the following documents :
- An identity card
- a passport
- a driving license
- a landline or mobile phone bill
- a gas or electricity bill
- a title deed or a rent receipt
- a water bill
- a tax notice or a non-tax certificate
- proof of housing tax
- an invoice or a home insurance certificate
- a statement from the Caf (Family Allowance Fund) which stipulates the assistance related to housing
Note also that the service-public site specifies that a copy of an electronic invoice is accepted.
What if you don't have a home in your name or in rental?
There are also cases in which you can submit other documents:
- If you live with a relative or friend, you will need to provide a signed letter from the host explaining that you have been staying with them stably for more than 3 months. You will also need a photocopy of their identity document, as well as an original document proving the host's domicile. This document must be less than one year old.
- If you live at the hotel, you must present a certificate from the manager or the manager of the hotel, but also an official document in your name indicating the address of the hotel. This can be a driving license, a vital certificate, a pension certificate, a document from the Pôle Emploi, etc.
- If you live in a caravan, you will need to provide a deed of ownership of the land or a rental agreement. As in the case mentioned above (you live at the hotel), you will also be required to present an official document indicating the same address.
Finally, remember that during the curfew (from 19 p.m. to 00 a.m.) a travel certificate is required.
