How to level up to Master Arts level
Master Arts are exclusive character skills, which can be used in battles. Some of them change a playable character's way of fighting a bit, so they shouldn't be overlooked. In fact, the true potential of some group members can only be unlocked by using their Master of Arts.
As I mentioned, to learn all four of them is a fairly straightforward task. You just need to keep using this character in battle, and the more you level up, the more experience you will gain for these arts. Sooner or later all will be unlocked just as you progress through the game. What's the catch I mentioned above?
This would be how to earn exp for these Master Arts. Simply by being in the party, our beloved Phantom Thieves level up normally. However, this is not the case for Master Arts. While the controlled character earns experience points for them, the AI does not accumulate points at all for any Master Art. If, for example, you continue to use Joker for your entire game, only Joker will have learned all the arts at his disposal. The rest of the team won't have any unlocked. This means that in order to improve your Master of Arts it is mandatory to take control of the desired group member and play with him for a while. To be honest, in a musou type game (not really), I don't see why anyone would like to play with just one Phantom Thief, with 9 of them available, but if that's how you want to go, just note that the rest of your group will be at a disadvantage. Also, Master Arts is upgraded quite easily, so there is no reason to pursue a certain activity for more exp gain. Keep playing the game as normal and you'll have them all in no time.
