A new limited-time NBA 2K21 MyTeam promo titled Clutch launched on September 11. The new promotion includes the addition of two limited-time packs, all of which expire on September 18. In addition, new Clutch cards have also been added to MyTeam. So which cards should you be targeting with this new promo? Let's see what you need to know.
First, let's take a look at the new clutch packs. Two new packs are available: the Clutch Pack and the Deluxe Clutch Pack. The Clutch Pack (cost 11 VC or 250 MT) includes a player and four items with a chance to shoot a clutch player. The Clutch Deluxe pack (10 VC or 500 MT) contains a guaranteed Clutch reader and four items. A Clutch Deluxe pack box, comprising 15 Clutch Deluxe packs, is also available and costs 000 VC.
Now that we've gone through the promo packs, let's talk about the cards you need to target from this promotion:
Michael Jordan
It doesn't get much better than a Michael Jordan MyTeam card. The NBA Legend's Clutch Card stands at 91 OVR, and if there's one thing you can count on MJ for, it's shooting. Jordan has an A Inside Scoring rating, as well as an A- Mid-Range Scoring attribute. Yes, Jordan is pretty weak in the 3PT Scoring (C +) and Rebounding (D-) categories, but the former Bulls superstar makes up for that with a solid A rating in Perimeter Defense.
Kobe Bryant
The Kobe Bryan't Clutch card is one of the more balanced cards you will find among guards who shoot. On the top ten ratings, Bryant has an A- or better. The only areas Kobe lacks are post defense (C-) and rebound (D), which isn't all that surprising given his size. But with all those other good marks and at 90 OVR, Bryant's clutch card is hard to pass up, especially if you're looking for a shooter.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
While Jabbar doesn't have the same shooting prowess as Jordan and Bryant, the former Lakers legend should be a beast in the paint. Armed with the A + Inside Scoring and A + Rebounding attributes, it's going to be difficult to stop Kareem on the inside. Don't expect Abdul-Jabbar to make multiple lines, but with good grades indoors and midrange, he will be a very valuable addition to your squad.
Richard Hamilton
Pistons keeper Richard Hamilton is one of the most profitable players you can get from this promo. Hamilton doesn't have the excellent indoor and midrange shooting attributes that Jordan and Bryant have, but the former shooting guard has a solid 3PT (A-) rating to go along with the defense of locking perimeter (A). And don't sleep on Hamilton's A-Playmaking attribute, either.
Ray Allen
Former Supersonics and Celtics goalie Ray Allen was a three-point machine during his playing days in the NBA, so it shouldn't be surprising that he has great shooting attributes in 2K21. Allen's Clutch card has an A + 3PT score, better than the four players mentioned above. The two-time NBA champion also has pretty interior (A-) and midrange (A) attributes.
