How to troubleshoot Roblox server issues
While there is no one-size-fits-all solution to connection issues, there are several solutions you can try if something goes wrong. Here are the steps you can take to troubleshoot Roblox server issues.
- Make sure you are using a compatible browser
- Reset your Internet options
- Check the security settings of your browser
- Check the wireless connection
- Remove / Disable all browser add-ons blocking ads
- Make sure the correct ports are open
- Configure your firewall and / or router

If you have a stable connection and everything is fine on your end, the problem may be with the Roblox servers themselves. If the problem is on the server side, unfortunately you will only have to wait for a fix to be implemented. Server outages are usually resolved within a few hours, so just try to log in later if you can't play the game right now.
What are the causes of Roblox server issues?
There are a handful of things that can cause connection issues when playing Roblox. Sometimes these are server side issues that you will have to wait for the developers to fix, sometimes there are issues with the game or the specific location you are trying to load into, and sometimes your own connection is at fault. These are the most common reasons for connection problems.
- Firewall
- Very often this is a firewall issue, although it could be (in very rare cases) the result of a low bandwidth connection or inconsistent wireless connection.
- Slow internet connection / big game
- If you are playing on the internet on a very slow service and the game is large, it may take a while for the map to download. Give it a little time.
- Game / empty place
- If the card appears to be running, but is unusually empty of things, the card has actually charged. The game creator probably didn't build anything, so it's empty. You can know when a card is loaded once your avatar appears.
- Bad game / place
- The game could be bad. There may be a bad script or too many objects, which is preventing the game from working properly. Let the creator know about the problem, because only they can fix it.
