Earthworm Jim 2 is a video game developed by Shiny Entertainment released in 1995 for the console Super Nintendo. This is the sequel to Earthworm Jim, released a year earlier.
The video game was also developed in versions for Sega Mega Drive and MS-DOS, while at a later time the conversions for Sega Saturn and Sony PlayStation also arrived. Despite many elements that make it rather atypical, the video game can be considered as belonging to the genre of platformers. Compared to the first Earthworm Jim, in 2 the capabilities of ours worm in spacesuit are increased: Jim is accompanied by Snott, living mucus that "lodges" in Jim's backpack. Thanks to Snott, the player can perform a whole series of movements and overcome numerous obstacles.
The game is pervaded by a strong sense of irony and humor, both in terms of the characters but also in terms of plot and settings. The plot is as follows: the Psycho-Crow has kidnapped the princess What's-Her-Name and Jim must save her before the evil bird up to Lost Vegas, the planet where he wants to celebrate the wedding that would decree him as the undisputed ruler of the universe.
