A shadow falls on the moon in Destiny 2, as Shadowkeep looms before us. Unfortunately, a shadow hangs over the servers as well, as they will go offline in preparation for the launch of Shadowkeep, Fate 2: New Light, and the switch from the Blizzard app to Steam.
Destiny 2 Maintenance for Shadowkeep - Start and End Times
Fate maintenance will begin on 30 September, 9h45 HAP, 15h45 UTC. According to the Bungie website, the following can be expected.
- Destiny 1 and 2 will be taken offline for maintenance in preparation for Update 2.6.0.1.
- Players will not be able to log in until October 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. PDT when Update 2.6.0.1 is released.
- The maintenance is scheduled to end at 12:00 p.m. (21:00 p.m. UTC) on October 1.
- Log in and some features of Bungie.net and Destiny Companion will not be available on web, mobile, and third-party apps during maintenance.
Maintenance will stop affecting the front-end sign on servers on October 1er à 10 a.m. PDT, 17h00 UTC. Users should be able to log in from then on, but they may experience login issues due to ongoing background maintenance.
- Destiny 1 and 2 services are back online, and Destiny 2 update 2.6.0.1 has started rolling out to all platforms and regions.
- Users may experience connection issues because background maintenance is still in progress.
- Bungie.net and Destiny Companion functionality has been re-enabled on web, mobile and third-party apps.
The maintenance, including the bottom, will be completely finished by 12h00 HAP, 19h00 UTC. At this point, you can reasonably expect to be able to connect to the game servers without any issues.
- Destiny 1 and 2 maintenance should end.
- Console gamers experiencing issues updating to patch 2.6.0.1 should reset their console and relaunch Destiny 2.
- Players who encounter issues should report them to the Help Forum.
Everything is fine, there should be no additional need to extend the maintenance time. It should be noted that, especially for PC gamers, additional issues may arise when migrating the game to a new platform. The queue to enter the game can also be long due to the launch of Shadowkeep.
