Cyberball is a video game developed by Atari in which you play American football in 7 on 7, using robotic players whose speed and skill characteristics vary.
Set in 2022, this futuristic sports game stands out in many ways. For example the playing ball is explosive and it passes from the state of "cold" to that of "hot" until it becomes "hot" and "critical", a step immediately preceding the actual explosion. A robot carrying the ball and being tackled at that moment is immediately destroyed along with the ball itself.
Also, robots don't last forever. Those of attack, gradually they suffer tackles, tackles and fouls, wear out and deteriorate until they smoke and catch fire. The player can improve his robot players by using money that is earned over the course of the games. As in true American football, also in Cyberball there is a defensive and an offensive phase, in which you can choose the plays to be made.
