Castlevania: Vampire's Kiss, known in Japan as Akuma jō Dracula XX and in the United States as Castlevania: Dracula X, it's a platform video game developed and distributed in 1995 by Konami.
The game is based on the
previous chapter, Akumajō Dracula X Chi no Rondo, released only in Japan for PC Engine. It is also the second and last video game in the Castlevania series to be developed for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Castlevania: Vampire's Kiss keeps the classic side scrolling, which is instead changed starting with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
Vampire's Kiss is set in the year 1792, during yet another battle between the Belmont and Dracula, who has meanwhile been resurrected by a group of mad fanatics led by the dark priest Shaft.
Dracula kidnaps Annette Renard, the girlfriend of Richter Belmont (Simon Belmont's great-great-great-granddaughter), along with the girl's little sister, Maria. Richter sets out in search of Dracula and his castle, with the aim of freeing his beloved and the child.
