Borderlands 3: Moze tips and tricks

Borderlands 3: Moze tips and tricks

Of all the characters in Borderlands 3, I originally wrote the most Moze. At first it looked like a new repetition of the Soldier or Commando archetypes with a different gadget than the stationary turret (and often useless, at least as a weapon).

I am happy to report that I was wrong. She's great to play in so many ways, and mostly because Iron Bear is exactly as cool as you would expect from a mech flown with huge pistols, even if it drops to higher levels, unless you really want to. in it.

It also has some interesting nuances that are not immediately obvious to new players. Here is a short list of those and some more general tips:

Dakka Bear

Aka the rear turret for Iron Bear that an ally can crawl into. There are pros and cons to this thing that isn't going to be intuitive for Moze, especially since she doesn't experience them directly.

1.) Shots fired from the turret do not take fuel, meaning the turret player can feel free to shoot whatever they want without risking reducing Iron Bear's active time.

2.) The turret has difficulty aiming at small targets in front of Iron Bear, as its angle of fire is limited. The Moze player should try to tilt so that multiple targets are visible (or even get surrounded), or the turret player should focus on aiming in the distance or elsewhere just in front of the mech.

3.) During the game, I was unable to climb the turret while Auto Bear is active as a Moze or another character is playing with a Moze. It could be a bug or a feature, but appears to be intentional.

Fuel

Fuel is the primary brake on anything the Iron Iron can do, and everything burns fuel, with some weapons burning it at a different rate than others. Likewise, the fuel itself decreases over time.

However, the fuel drops very slowly, when no weapon is in use, which means that if you refrain from pulling the trigger for no reason and controlling your fire in combat, you can significantly increase the focus time. standby of your mech.

Skill trees

Moze has some really good skill trees at his disposal, and certain stats can damage your machine insanely at mid-high levels (after around 30). Keep this in mind as you browse the content, as the Iron Bear rips absolutely everything at low level, but only drops respectable damage when you get close to the cap.

If you want to focus on the mechanics, consider focusing primarily on the Shield of Vengeance tree, which allows Moze and Iron Bear to be a seriously carnal presence on the battlefield and act as a bulwark against the enemies of your teammates.

While this is a bit like a tank / support build, it also deals light damage and you can continue to use whatever weapons you want.

If on the contrary, you want Moze herself to be at the center of your concerns, Bottomless Mags is your tree of choice, with stacked DPS bonuses that are just minor perks like reload speed, rate of fire, damage and ammunition consumption.

Demolition Woman is a great additional tree for both people, and either build a passion for having Auto Bear. It's also a sturdy tree for crowd control and area of effect, but I think it's better to complete builds rather than build on itself as the last two levels of the tree are crisp, but less impressive than other trees. .

Arms

Moze in general has abilities that make her more likely to use submachine guns and assault rifles than other characters, with a splash of AoE weapons such as rockets, grenades, and torgue rifles. Keep this in mind when sorting your loot, because while this sniper rifle can deal four times more damage per hit than your assault rifle, its DPS is likely to degrade significantly compared to an assault rifle. high capacity that you found half an hour ago.

Additionally, keep in mind that the Iron Bear can equip the same weapon in both slots, and there is even a Midway ability of Bottomless Mags (Specialist Bear) that increases Iron Bear's damage by 25% if you equip the same weapon twice.

Finally, consider prioritizing shock damage from your grenades and / or at least one of your equipped weapons. Moze doesn't have a lot of ability to deal shock damage with his action skill (only the Railgun does, and even this "upgrade" at one point if you want to), but has an excellent ability. to deal with incendiary, explosive and corrosive effects. damage and enemies with high shields are common.

That's all I have so far, but hopefully it helps people new to Moze get a smoother start!
