Black Desert Mobile, the long-awaited free-to-play MMO from developer Pearl Abyss, has long launched worldwide, and is finally set to launch worldwide on December 11.
Fans of the original version for PC and console won't need an introduction to the game, they've already enjoyed the sprawling open world, gorgeous visuals, and smooth, fast-paced combat that helped make Black Desert the one of the most popular MMOs of recent years. Now, with Black Desert Mobile, Pearl Abyss aims to faithfully recreate the same experience for both iOS and Android users. And if it's near (and the latest trailer suggests it), we're all for something pretty special.
Initial fan reactions and early glimpses during the soft launch have been overwhelmingly positive, with players universally touting the character customization options as being the most detailed ever in a mobile game. The size and depth of its open world and empire building should also rival the bigger MMOs on the market today.
At launch, players will be able to choose their characters from one of five classes. These include Warrior, Witch, Ranger, Giant, and Valkyrie, each with their own unique abilities such as long-range attacks, magic spells, and powerful melee attacks.
Leveling up your character and earning rewards will come from completing quests as well as unique tasks designed to improve your character's skills. As noted in the trailer, players will need to complete daily resource collection tasks.
