It is always important to know what the weather will be like, especially if you are planning on doing something out. It will be a disaster if you plan to get some sun on the beach and just have to look at a cloudy sky. Sure, you can ask Google for the weather, but some Android weather apps have some great features that you might miss out on.
The app you decide to use will depend on the features you want the app to have. Some may prefer apps that keep things simple, while others prefer the feature-rich types of apps. The following list will show you the various apps you can choose from and the most popular ones on Google Play.

1. The Weather Channel
An article on weather apps wouldn't be complete without the app Weather channel in the list. The app is free, but some features can only be used if you choose Premium. If you go to Premium, you can take advantage of features like:

- Windstream
Premium will only cost you $ 29,99 for one year or $ 4,99 per month. But for free you can still get the most important information: time. The app has four tabs:

The free version provides you with weather alerts and you can also switch between units of measurement. You can up to using radar, but it would give you a 24 hour reading. At the top, you will see different colors that will describe the intensity of the rain and snow. If you want to see what the radar will show later in the day, simply use the slider below. Beside the cursor, you will see the time of day for which the radar shows you the information.
You can see the trends in the Videos tab, with time being the main topic. For example, if a strong storm caused a crash with severe damage, you will see in the Video tab. To see the weather in another city, select the down arrow to the right of the city name and add your new city. The app also has widgets to use.
2. AccuWeather: Weather alerts and real-time forecast information
Another popular app you will find on Google Play is AccuWeather. The app will provide you with information such as forecasts by day or by month. You will also receive information such as sunrise and sunset times. An hourly weather forecast is also available. On the Radar tab, you will see a play button. The radar will show you what the weather will be like for the next few hours without you having to do it manually by tapping the button.
If you want to change cities, tap the drop-down menu to the right of the city and tap a previous city that you used. Or you can search for a new city to add. The radar will also show you the severity of the weather in color. The rain will go from:

Unlike the first two apps, Weather Forecast asks you to configure your weather settings as soon as you start using the app. It will allow you to set things like:

- Shows the temperature on the status bar
After selecting everything you want the app to show you, it will ask you for some permissions. This app shows you that the rest on is not the address of your current location. This is great if you need the address and don't feel like opening another app to figure it out. The app has no designated tabs if you just want the hourly or 5-day forecast. To see it, you will have to swipe to the sides. Showing you everything on the main page makes the time smaller, making other apps more attractive. There are also apps you can use.
4. Yahoo Weather
Yahoo Weather has a different way of showing you the weather. It will show you an image of the city you have chosen. Yahoo Weather offers a unique feature because it shows you the latest statistics on the coronavirus pandemic, only if you want to be informed about the problem. To see the weather, you will have to scroll up and you will see information such as the hourly and five-day forecasts. To see more information, swipe left on one of these options.
Keep scrolling down to see more details like Moisture, Feel like, Visibility and UV INdex. Other information you will see includes Wind and pressure, Precipitation, Sun and Moon, and a map. The app is free and you don't need to register to use it.
5. Weather Bug
Last but not least, there is Weather Bug. This app has its weather divided into four different tabs such as Now, Hourly, 10 Days and Maps. If there are active alerts to see, the app will show you a red triangle at the top right of the app.
The app will also show you funny animal videos to brighten your day and other animal related videos. Fire, UV and pollen alerts are also available.
