Which difficulty should you choose in Wasteland 3?
There are four difficulty levels in Wasteland 3. Rookie is the simplest and intended for those primarily interested in the history of the game, while Supreme Jerk is the more difficult and intended for masochistic players who want a brutal challenge. .
- Beginner - For players more interesting in the story than in the combat, a less deadly hell landscape below zero
- Wastelander - For new players and those returning who want to experience the waste as planned, a tough but fair apocalypse
- Cleaning - For veteran strategy game players looking for a challenge, a cruel and ruthless world
- Supreme Jerk - For the toughest of guys, a murderous nightmare of brutality. Not even at a fair distance.
Ranger and Supreme Jerk come with friendly fire enabled by default, but you can turn it off by selecting custom settings. You can also activate it for Rookie and Wastelander if you want to spice things up on a less difficult difficulty level. If you've never played a CRPG before, you should select Rookie or Wastelander. Wastelander is the normal difficulty of the game, and Rookie is the equivalent of easy in other games. If you've played other Wasteland games or other CRPGs, consider increasing the difficulty in Ranger. It's the equivalent of difficult in other games, but it should provide a fair challenge for experienced players. Only choose Supreme Jerk if you are incredibly confident in your abilities.
